Accommodation in Cambodia
This has been welcomed by the Cambodian people as it is a significant source of income for many people these days.
Ten years ago, Cambodia's visitors could be divided into two groups: 5 star hotel guests and backpackers. Nowadays a new group has emerged to bridge this divide -, travellers who are willing to spend a bit more, and stay in 3 or 4 star hotels,. Hotels or guesthouses with swimming pools or spa facilities are not uncommon in 3 and 4 star hotels in Cambodia.
In Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, a variety of accommodation is available but in other parts of the country there are limited opportunities for 5 star hotel guests. As such, staying in these places tend to be more basic than in the bigger cities.
