Vimean Sokha Museum: A Step Back in Time

Vimean Sokha Museum is a unique attraction in Siem Reap, offering visitors a fascinating glimpse into Cambodia's past. Housed in a large, yellow building, the museum boasts an eclectic collection of artifacts that span a wide range of eras. From vintage bicycles and motorcycles to antique cameras, clocks, and even a collection of currency, the museum offers a nostalgic journey through time. One of the standout exhibits is a Volkswagen Beetle claimed to have once belonged to the legendary Cambodian singer Sinn Sisamouth. The museum's owner, Ly Peng Heng, is passionate about collecting and sharing his treasures. His enthusiasm is evident as he guides visitors through the various displays, sharing stories and anecdotes about the artifacts.

While Vimean Sokha Museum may not have the same historical significance as the Angkor temples, it offers a refreshing change of pace and a unique opportunity to discover a different side of Cambodia.
